Happy Monday Errbody.  It’s time to to get excited.  Today is the day I start sharing the photos Matt Kile took of #operationbachelorpad. Raise the Roof folks. Raise. The. Roof.

There are a few rooms to share, so I thought I’d break them up into a few posts. That way you have to keep coming back to visit.  See?  I’m sneaky like that.

First room up …the Living Room.

Mr. Bachelor’s only concern was having a ginormous, monstrosity of a television.  I’m sure it makes for fabulous movie nights, but during the day it is offensive to my eyeballs.  Nothing a little creative design can’t rectify. I flanked either side of the Repurposed Hammer and Hand Imports Media Console with Industrial Bookcases so the television would be recessed, and therefore look less awkward.

The entire exterior exposure of the condo consists of floor-to-ceiling widows bringing in tons of natural light.  The living room opens up to a huge patio (it hasn’t been decorated yet) with western exposure overlooking a huge park.  Can we say “Awesome Sunsets”?  I wanted low profile furniture, as no not obstruct the view.  I’m mad about the modern teak framed chairs.  They durable enough to withstand outdoor weather, but I used them here as indoor furniture.  The natural wood adds an organic element, but in a very modern design.

Reclaimed lanterns from Hammer and Hand Imports.   Framed Tiger Sketch, Vintage Camera, and books from my personal collection.

I really can’t get enough of the chaise.  It’s one of the sexiest pieces of furniture I’ve ever seen.  It is so incredible comfortable I’d probably fall asleep in it.

All items are from my personal collection, except the chrome horse bust.  Mr. Bachelor already had it and I love it.  Miracles do happen!

I found this vintage, signed, and numbered lithograph at The Green Shag; my favorite Antique Mall.

The dining area, bar, den and Dudeoir are still to be revealed, as well as original paintings from Ted Collier.  I promise you the best still to come!

Special thanks to:

Matt Kile for the photography.

Chris & Amy Plastid from Hammer & Hand Imports for co-styling, and being all-around-awesome.

Daniel Jolivette for assisting shoot.
